Lozells and East Handsworth Neighbourhood update 30/08/2026 – 13/09/2026 Welcome to this week’s crime and community update for the Lozells and East Handsworth area. Our neighbourhood team remains committed to tackling key crime issues affecting residents, especially around domestic abuse, robbery, burglary, and vehicle crime. We also continue to engage with schools and local partners to provide early intervention and support.
🛑 Crime Updates
Burglary: None.
Vehicle Crime: There have been five reported Theft of Motor vehicle. There have been six reported Theft from motor vehicle. ➡️ Key-less entry theft remains a concern. Please use Faraday pouches, remove visible items, and consider physical deterrents like steering wheel locks.

Team Highlights:
Upcoming Event Police Drop in surgeries at Cannon Street Memorial Baptist Church, 300 Soho Road – 12pm until 1pm.
Councillor Freshwater (Handsworth Ward) and Police Drop in surgery Handsworth Library Soho Road 2pm until 4pm. Currently arranging more dates.
Councillor Mahmood (Birchfield Ward) and Police Drop in surgery Grosvenor Road Studios, 16 Grosvenor Road 6pm until 7pm.
Currently arranging Joint Drop in surgeries with Councillor Uddin (Lozells Ward)
